I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
